MANDINGA ARTS/MARKUS HOFT

MONKEYS DANCE

The award-winning English artist couple Charles Beauchamp and Julieta Rubio is famous for its gaudy costume creations and gigantic puppets inspired by art and carnival. Under the label Mandinga Arts, they have been working internationally on various street art projects in a cross-genre style for 20 years together with artists, musicians and choreographers. For Bremen, Charles Beauchamp and the choreographer Markus Hoft have developed a dance performance that plays with the movement and action possibilities of the created figures. As a mobile troupe they provide for surprises and colourful chaos.
